Photography as a Service to Others

The purpose of Griselda Portraits is simply to build a legacy of faith. As I served Filipinos, Nigerians, Indonesians, Latinas, Canadians, and more... everyone struggle to live the faith daily. Parents feel they couldn't teach their children well, cradle Catholics feel awkward to invite non-Christian guests, and business owners couldn't balance between revenue and impact. This is not recent news. As Christians, we are called to imitate Christ; to walk the narrow path.

At Griselda Portraits, I'm able to help. Not by much. But I can use my charisms of arts and encouragement to listen, to care, to unite family members. And most importantly, I can pray for them.

Here, I do business differently; I'm called to discern as I grow my business. Griselda Portraits is less about building a six-figure entrepreneurship, it is less about an artistic self-expression. Griselda Portraits is a ministry of faith - a place to bring hope, to care genuinely, and to share useful insights to build a legacy of faith.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:16

Guiding Principles

We do our best to...

We strive to bring clients closer to God. It brings us joy to be with clients who get to know Him better every day. As we take photos of you and your loved ones, we encourage you to pray and prepare your hearts for the special moments.

We strive to deliver romantic, natural, and creative photos to our clients. Griselda loves candid looks, such as natural laughs, dancing acts, and children playing around. We want to ensure that you feel comfortable during the photoshoot.

We stay away from...

We refuse to be transactional where everything is about cost and revenue. This type of relationship will focus too much on efficiency, and less about helping others. We believe that everyone is a member of the body of Christ and so, we'd love to personalize the experience for them.

We refuse to be disrespectful nor indifferent on Catholic teachings. Especially for events inside the Church, we recognize it as the house of God and therefore, we will respect the rules about flashes, altar boundaries, etc. It is our intention to be faithful to God.

Hi, Griselda here. It means Grey Battle in German. I know limited German – for example, I can say “Meine Deutsche ist eine Katastrophe.” Joke aside, I know many languages: Bahasa Indonesia as my native language, English, Japanese, French, Spanish. In short, I love cultures.

My favorite cities are Venice and Kyoto. Both have rich cultures, beautiful natures, and spectacular culinary. In fact, that’s how I see the world. I tell romantic, dreamy, and classic stories based on what I see, what I hear, and what I experience.

I’m called to serve through my photography works. I usually take time to talk to my clients, getting to know them better. At times I also pray for them because we cannot do things alone; we need God’s grace. My go-to prayers are Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be when I prepare for my photoshoot.

As a client, you can expect great photo session, beautiful pictures, and attentive service from Griselda Portraits. When you follow me on social media, you can also expect regular prayer, referrals to Edmonton-based services, and music recommendations.

Talk to you soon!

Miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word; always doing the smallest right and doing it all for love.
